Zoran Cekić
Executive Board member, Global Engineering Deans Council
Zoran Cekić is an accomplished leader in higher education and industry, holding significant roles such as Executive Board member of the Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC), member of the American Society for Engineering Education, member of Danube Rectors Conference, Dean of Faculty of Polytechnics at UDG University (in collaboration with Arizona State University), and Rector of Union NT University Serbia. His academic contributions include visiting professorships at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geodesy at the University of Novi Sad, the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Montenegro, and the Institute of Architecture and Construction at SUSU Russia. Zoran is a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), the Chartered Institution of Building (MCIOB), and the Association for Project Management (MAPM, London).
With a robust background in engineering and project management (BSc, MSc, and PhD), he leverages his extensive leadership experience to bridge skills gaps through university-industry collaboration and innovation, aiming to mitigate educational and business challenges related to managing sustainable engineering talent ecosystem skilled to excel in rapidly changing business landscape. Aa a co-managing partner of Vertex People Strategy he is exploring strategies to prepare business for managing ecosystem of engineering talent that can stay on top of business needs in AI-dominated workplaces.
