Goran Markovski is the Dean and a full professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, North Macedonia. With a specialization in transport infrastructure, concrete bridges, and reinforced structures, he is a prominent figure in civil engineering and academia. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in significant national infrastructure projects, including the Corridor VIII and the Skopje–Blace motorway, essential routes that connect North Macedonia with the surrounding regions.

Markovski began his career as a software engineer before transitioning into academia, where he rose through the ranks to become a full professor in 2013.

His expertise spans bridge design, railway infrastructure, and consulting for high-profile organizations like NATO and North Macedonia’s Ministry of Transport. With a research focus on concrete durability, structural resilience, and sustainable construction methods, he has published widely in respected academic journals, contributing to advancements in the field of civil engineering.

Fluent in multiple languages, Markovski brings both technical knowledge and a passion for raising civil engineering standards in North Macedonia. His dedication extends beyond teaching, as he remains actively engaged in shaping the nation’s infrastructure and engineering practices.
