Nico Michels studied mechanical engineering in Hanover and is a competent systems engineer. He has over 20 years of leadership experience in strategic development and the successful implementation of digital transformations in various international manufacturing companies. As a long-standing top manager in medium-sized companies and corporations, he had operational responsibility for the complex, globally distributed engineering, production and IT systems.
In addition, he is engaged in the initiation and implementation of innovative research projects and strategic initiatives together with industry, science and politics. As a speaker and lecturer on product development and digitalization, he is committed to knowledge transfer and the promotion of young talent.
Since December 2022, Nico Michels has been Managing Executive for Digital Enterprise at Siemens Digital Industries Software. In this position, he advises and accompanies the supervisory boards, executive boards and top management of medium-sized companies and corporations with an extensive team in the definition and implementation of digital transformations in various industries.
