Prof. Dr. Kosta Jovanović

Kosta Jovanović is an Assc. Prof. in Robotics at the University of Belgrade – School of Electrical Engineering (ETF). He obtained his PhD degree in 2016 and gained his professional experience in SMS Siemag (2009), TU Munich (2010) and DLR Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics (2013), all in Germany. He is an alumnus of DAAD and Foundation dr Zoran Đinđić. He has led 4 Horizon Europe/2020 and 7 cascading projects in robotics at ETF (in collaboration with ETH Zurich, Imperial College London, DLR, Fraunhofer, TUM, Politecnico Milano, DTI, VTT, etc.). His research interests are robots and AI in human-centric Industry 5.0. He is devoted to providing engineering students with hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology in the lab and to international research collaboration at the postgraduate level. 

Kosta Jovanović was a vice-dean for industry collaboration at ETF from 2018-2022. He has been honored with numerous awards: scientific achievements at conferences in Serbia, Germany, and Italy, American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia, City of Belgrade, Nikola Tesla Foundation, University of Belgrade. He has participated as a consultant in industry-academia cooperation programs supported by EBRD, GIZ, and UNOPS. He coordinates ETF activities in the Palace of Science by MK Foundation, representing one of the region’s most substantial private sector investments in education.
