Mr. Gilbert has led Quanser since 2002. He has overseen the growth from a niche technology company to a global leader in platforms and methods of engineering education transformation.
Mr. Gilbert is passionate about bringing groundbreaking experiential education methods into universities and colleges throughout the world. Mr. Gilbert is a frequent invited speaker at key academic meetings serving the global engineering education leadership. He is an active and influential voice within some of the most important academic organizations in the world including, Global Engineering Dean’s Council, American Society of Engineering Education, and International Federation of Engineering Education Societies.
Mr. Gilbert has almost three decades as a CEO or President in companies within the packaging, aerospace, and energy management sectors and has major achievements in all aspects of managing and transforming the modern business enterprise including R&D, business development, manufacturing, logistics, and finance.
Mr. Gilbert is also active and passionate in STEM outreach and youth entrepreneurship programs and is often a key contributor to philanthropic activities.
Mr. Gilbert holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, Western University in Canada as well as a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton, U.K.
